The past awakens. In the 18th century Lord Nelson established his headquarters in what is now Nelson's Dockyard. His personal telescope can be viewed in the Dockyard Open Air Museum.

Adjacent to Nelson's Dockyard, Shirley Height's offers breathtaking views from a 150 meter high hill to the volcano of Montserrat and the neighboring island of Guadeloupe. Both are located in English Harbor, which at the time was the safest natural harbor. Today it is the hot spot for the international yachting scene.
